Poland Plywood Market: Price Trends & Export Insights

Plywood

Quoting Poland’s plywood market from a generic European benchmark is one of the fastest ways to lose a deal or eat your margin. Poland is price-sensitive and tightly connected. Birch, poplar, film-faced, and structural boards each follow their own logic, and the spread between them can shift what a quote is worth in a single quarter.

This guide gives you the Poland plywood market: price trends & export insights you need before your next negotiation. You’ll see price ranges by grade, the market drivers from the past 12-24 months, who supplies and buys, and the compliance checks (HS 4412, CE, EN standards, FSC, EU anti-dumping) that can stall a shipment at the border.

Start with the price snapshot below, then use the rest to decide whether to enter, expand, or renegotiate.

Poland Plywood Price Snapshot: Current Benchmarks and 12-24-Month Direction

image.png

The birch plywood price in Poland starts at about €619/m³ ex-works for standard wholesale plywood, excluding freight. That sits at the bottom of the market, and buyers paying for sanded birch should expect higher numbers.

Don’t use retail sheets to benchmark container or truckload purchases

FCA Warsaw stock examples:
– 3 mm birch, B/BB, 1,525 × 1,525 mm: €1,650/m³
– 3 mm birch, BB/BB: €1,500/m³
– 4 mm birch, BB/BB: €1,450/m³
– Other warehouse lots: €590-€1,335/m³, depending on grade, thickness, surface and stock age

Polish B2B marketplaces show bulk offers across PLN 1,700-3,120, most requiring a 5 m³ minimum order. One listing quotes PLN 2,400 at a 10 m³ MOQ. A retail listing of PLN 608.38 for birch sheets reflects cut-size pieces instead of full-sheet industrial supply.

What the Trade Data Says

Trade data for Polish wood panels shows two distinct shifts:

2025: import volume rose 40.36%, while average import price fell 12.57% to US$768.27/t. That points to stronger supply, a lower-priced product mix, or both.

January-August 2026: average import price hit US$853.53/t, up 12.62% year over year. Volume fell 18.67%.

Latest 12 months: average import price reached US$833.08/t, 4.17% above the prior 12 months.

A broader European packaging-plywood index sits at 109.61 points, up 0.4% and 3.4% above July. That reflects mild upward momentum.

12-24-Month Outlook

This plywood price forecast has three scenarios:

Base case: flat to slight increases. Plan for +3% to +10% on standard birch plywood.

Upside risk: reduced imports, logistics disruption, currency swings or a rebound in construction and furniture demand could push prices +10% to +15%.

Downside case: excess European inventory or weak manufacturing demand could send commodity grades back to €590-€900/m³.

Procurement tip: secure firm offers for 3-6 months. Don’t lock in your full 24-month volume. Stagger orders, and compare FCA Warsaw against delivered Poland pricing.

How to Request Comparable Quotes

Ask every plywood supplier to quote separately by:

Species: birch or softwood

Grade: FC, BB/BB, B/BB or higher

Thickness: 3-30 mm

Sheet size: 1,220 × 2,440 mm, 1,250 × 2,500 mm or 1,525 × 1,525 mm

Bonding: interior ureic or exterior phenolic/FSF

Surface: sanded, unsanded or laminated

MOQ in m³, pack quantity and lead time

Incoterms: FCA Warsaw, delivered Poland and delivered EU

FSC/PEFC documentation, where required

Freight, VAT and pallet charges, listed separately

Without this breakdown, you cannot compare quotes on equal terms.

Birch Plywood Price Poland: Full-Birch and Birch-Faced Poplar Segments

image.png

Full-birch interior plywood starts around €475/m³ in Poland. The earlier €619/m³ quote applies to a different product, birch-faced poplar. Mixing up these two categories is usually why quotes seem inconsistent.

Birch-faced poplar lists about 30% higher per m³ than full-birch. That premium does not mean superior quality. The difference usually comes down to grade, sheet dimensions, supplier margins, certification, and order volume. For decorative panels, compare quotes from a veneer plywood manufacturer.

Polish Price Points by Thickness

3 mm, grade II/II: PLN 45/sheet for 105 sheets (about PLN 19.35/m²). Broader listings range from PLN 32.25 to 60/sheet, or PLN 13.9-25.8/m².

4 mm: PLN 20-35/m²

10 mm: PLN 40-60/m²

18 mm: PLN 65-100/m²

9 mm waterproof/anti-slip: PLN 153/m², a specialty finished board that should not anchor your standard-panel budget

What to Check Before Comparing

Core: 100% birch versus a poplar core with birch outer plies.

Grade: B/B, B/BB, or BB/BB for full-birch; BB/CP is the referenced grade for birch-faced poplar.

Glue: interior urea-formaldehyde or exterior waterproof phenolic/WBP.

Certification: the birch-faced poplar listings specify CARB, TSCA, PEFC, and CE.

VAT: check whether pricing is net or gross, since Polish wholesale quotes typically exclude VAT.

Unit: convert all offers to price per m³. Per-sheet numbers hide size differences and make direct comparisons unreliable.

Softwood and Construction Plywood Price Trends in Poland

image.png

Poland’s softwood plywood import prices fell about 31% in 2025. Across the 12 months ending November 2025, the average settled at US$824.58/ton, down 31.07% year on year.

The 2025 Reset

From January through November 2025, prices averaged around US$810/ton. Over the same period in 2024, buyers paid an average of US$1,190/ton, marking a 31.93% decline.

The market underwent a reset after steady expansion. Coniferous-plywood proxy prices had climbed at an estimated 10.65% CAGR over the previous five years, but the 2025 drop arrived as import demand cooled and importers trimmed volumes.

For Poland construction plywood, use US$0.81-0.83/kg as your baseline import price. Keep in mind that this figure leaves out domestic trucking, warehousing, distributor markups, VAT, and finishing costs like cutting or chemical treatments.

Softwood vs. Non-Coniferous Plywood

The two categories moved in opposite directions:

Softwood plywood: about US$810-830/ton, down more than 30%

Birch/alder-type plywood: US$1,274.87/ton in 2025, up 33.33%

The gap: softwood was about 35% cheaper per ton

Polish buyers imported 115.29 kilotons of alder and birch plywood between January and November 2025, spending US$147.93 million. Total spend dropped 24.3% and volume slid 43.64%, which drove the average price up to roughly US$1,280/ton. That indicates buyers brought in lower tonnages, purchased a pricier product mix, or faced restricted supply.

Procurement Benchmarks

Commodity softwood: plan for US$810-830/ton at the import level.

Film-faced, structural, calibrated, or certified panels: budget above standard commodity grades, as comparable imports reached US$1,275-1,280/ton.

Monitoring: check pricing monthly. A 30%+ swing within a single year makes quarterly price reviews too slow to catch market turns.

Track these drivers:

EN 636/EN 314 compliance and CE marking

FSC/PEFC certification

Film facing and moisture resistance

Freight rates and PLN/EUR/USD currency movements

Film-Faced and Structural Plywood: Quote Structure and Demand Signals

image.png

A film-faced quote that leaves out film weight, glue type, and edge sealing is only half a quote. Here is how to structure the rest.

Film-Faced Plywood: Price Benchmarks

Indicative film-faced plywood pricing in Europe depends primarily on the core species:

Core / face type

Indicative price

Acacia

From €510/m³

Eucalyptus

From €516/m³

Pine

From €536/m³

Birch/alder, smooth F/F

From €899/m³

Birch/alder, wire-mesh F/W

From €965/m³

A Latvian supplier lists film-faced sheets from €6.19/m², with sheet thickness and order volume setting the final rate. Use €510-€536/m³ as your benchmark for acacia, eucalyptus, and pine, and €899-€965/m³ for birch and alder. Freight rates, film weight, and certified chain-of-custody requirements will shift both ranges.

Order scale matters:
– One bundle equals roughly 1 m³.
– 1-29 m³ counts as small wholesale. Orders of 30 m³ or more earn standard film-faced plywood wholesale rates.
– Supply ranges from single pallets up to full truckloads of about 24 tonnes.
– A comparable supplier sets its MOQ at a 40-foot container, with prompt inventory available or 15-35 days for factory production.

What a Complete Film-Faced RFQ Includes

Product: F/F or F/W, with film grammage if required

Core: birch, alder, eucalyptus, acacia or pine

Thickness: 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 mm

Sheet size: 2,500 × 1,250 mm or 2,440 × 1,220 mm

Glue: phenolic, exterior/water-resistant class

Edges: factory-sealed

Certification: FSC, plus CE, CARB or TSCA where relevant

Quote basis: EXW, FCA, DAP or delivered

Logistics: palletization, loading pattern, gross weight, lead time, payment terms, sample cost and reuse-cycle warranty

Compare different thicknesses and sheet formats on price per m³. For project takeoffs, calculate on per-sheet and per-m² pricing.

Structural Plywood: Reject Incomplete Quotes

Request the structural grade, veneer species, thickness tolerance, bending strength, modulus of elasticity, density, moisture resistance, and formaldehyde class. For European structural work, insist on documentation for the relevant EN 636 use category, along with CE/DoP declarations where required. No strength values, no deal.

Demand Signals

Poland’s 2025 imports of specified non-coniferous plywood reached US$161.18 million and 126.43 thousand tonnes. Inbound volume dropped 41.12% while unit values rose, pointing to destocking or tighter procurement limits.

Conifer-faced panels moved the other way. Polish imports of plywood with coniferous outer plies reached US$30.90 million and 37.48 thousand tonnes, up roughly +66.07% in value and +140.93% in volume. January-November 2025 data confirmed the trend at +68.66% and +147.31%. Buyers are shifting toward cheaper, construction-oriented panels.

Across Europe, wood-based panel consumption grew 1.6% (about 1 million m³) to 57 million m³. That volume remains below the 62 million m³ recorded in 2021. Germany, Russia, and the Netherlands accounted for about 40% (roughly 44 million m³) of regional demand in 2024.

The steadiest film-faced applications are construction, prefabrication, formwork, transport flooring, and industrial platforms. Structural demand tracks roof sheathing, wall bracing, renovation projects, and prefab building.

Negotiation Rules

Formwork tenders: weigh film quality, edge sealing, and guaranteed reuse cycles alongside the €/m³ price.

Structural projects: reject quotes without strength values, EN/CE documentation and tolerance data.

Volume tiers: ask for stepped pricing at 1 m³, 10 m³, 30 m³, pallet quantity and full truck or container.

Poland Plywood Market Size and Trade Flows by HS 4412

image.png

Poland’s plywood market was worth about US$355 million in 2022, down 19% year on year. That figure reflects producer and importer revenue, but excludes downstream logistics, retail marketing, and retailer margins.

A broader benchmark for plywood and laminated panels puts the Poland plywood market size at about €239 million, with an 8% CAGR over the referenced period. Because the two figures track different scopes, treat them as a range rather than a single continuous series.

HS 4412 Import Data

Birch/alder plywood under 6 mm is the primary value segment. Imports reached US$205.33 million and 214.71 kt in 2024, with value up 7.3% and volume up 20.27%.

Then 2025 flipped. Under subheading 441233, import value dropped 21.50% and volume fell 41.12%, while the average declared price jumped 33.33%.

Combined Totals

These figures are directional only, because the tracked periods differ and other HS 4412 subheadings are excluded:

2024 benchmark: about US$224.1 million and 230.15 kt

2025 plus latest rolling period: about US$192.1 million

The Takeaway

Poland remains a major import destination for birch and alder plywood, though shipment volumes corrected sharply in 2025 while unit prices climbed.

Coniferous plywood is the smaller segment, but it is expanding rapidly, with volume climbing 140.93% in the latest rolling period. If you sell construction-grade panels, that is the number to watch.

Poland Plywood Export Destinations and Import Source Countries

Germany alone buys more than one in every five dollars of Polish plywood exports. That shows where Poland’s trade is anchored.

In 2023, Poland exported about US$310 million of plywood, making it the world’s 14th-largest plywood exporter. It imported about US$193 million, ranking 23rd among importers. Poland sells far more than it buys, operating as an established supplier on the global market.

Germany

US$66.9m

Italy

US$29.5m

Romania

US$24.0m

United Kingdom

US$22.6m

France

These five markets took about US$163.5 million, or 52.7% of exports.

Between 2022 and 2023, the fastest-growing destinations were Lithuania (+US$7.11m), Romania (+US$3.91m) and France (+US$2.91m). The United States holds the largest untapped potential, with an estimated US$16.4 million export gap.

A separate 2026 trade compilation puts Poland at about 227,943 tonnes and US$335.2 million in exports, confirming its position as a major European supplier.

Where Poland Buys Its Plywood

Kazakhstan grew fastest as an import origin between 2022 and 2023, adding about US$35.1 million. Romania (+US$4.23m) and Spain (+US$3.79m) also gained. China shows the largest potential gap at roughly US$13.7 million, which is the clearest opening for Chinese exporters.

For coniferous-faced plywood, Poland imported about US$29.92 million (36,990 tonnes) in January-November 2025. The top five suppliers by value share were:

Czechia: 14.1%

Denmark: 12.9%

Brazil: 11.4%

Germany: 10.1%

Finland: 5.1%

Together they supplied 53.6%. Germany appears on both lists, pointing to cross-border redistribution and processing. Brazil is the only non-European supplier in the group.

All figures use HS/CN heading 4412. Segment data, such as coniferous plywood, covers narrower classifications and cannot be added to total plywood figures.

Poland Plywood Suppliers and Competitive Manufacturing Landscape

Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Vietnam supply about 99% of Poland’s reported wood-plywood imports. That creates continuous pricing pressure for domestic mills.

Between April 2024 and March 2025, Poland logged 2,778 plywood import shipments, with 147 foreign exporters selling to 168 Polish buyers as import volume grew about 6% year over year. With that many sellers competing for a limited pool of buyers, prices on standard grades stay low. Polish and European manufacturers have responded by shifting production toward certified, engineered panels of the kind a structural plywood manufacturer supplies. Margins remain tight across the sector, particularly after the Polish plywood market contracted 19% to roughly US$355 million in 2022.

Key Polish Manufacturers

Paged Plywood: Operates plants in Pisz and Morąg. Production covers raw, coated, moisture-resistant, fire-retardant and specialist panels, including ELKON transformer plywood. Timber comes from FSC/PEFC-certified pine, birch, alder, aspen and beech, backed by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

Biaform S.A. (Białystok): Produces hardwood and softwood plywood with an output of about 20,000 m³ a year, and over 60% is exported to Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.

Sklejka Orzechowo S.A.: In business for over 130 years. The company manufactures plywood, blockboard and wood-based panels, carrying FSC, PEFC, CARB and CARB-P2 certifications.

Sklejka-Eko (Ostrów Wielkopolski): Supplies pine, alder-birch, poplar and Okoume plywood, along with formwork, anti-slip, flexible and fire-retardant grades.

Polikat / Macost-Pol (Brzozów): Runs automated lines producing plywood boards, bed slats and bed bases. The facility is FSC-certified, focused on furniture and interior components.

How They Compete

Polish mills rarely beat Ukrainian, Kazakh or Vietnamese suppliers on price for commodity boards. Instead, they compete on:

Short delivery routes and European production

Certified timber (FSC/PEFC, plus ISO systems at Paged)

Custom formats and engineered grades

High-value niches: fire-retardant, anti-slip, flexible, coated, formwork, transformer and transport plywood

Biaform’s 60%+ export ratio shows that Poland’s larger mills look well beyond their home market. At the same time, producers from Czechia, Denmark, Germany and Brazil provide tough regional competition in softwood and specialty panels.

Supplier Vetting Checklist

Request technical specifications by species: birch, pine, alder, poplar, beech or Okoume.

Compare thickness, veneer construction, glue class, density, face grade, tolerances and sheet dimensions.

Verify compliance standards: FSC/PEFC, CARB-P2, CE, EN 636, EN 314 and ISO 9001/14001/45001.

Confirm monthly capacity, MOQ, private-label capability, packaging specifications and export Incoterms.

Separate requests for commodity construction plywood from certified, coated, fire-retardant, anti-slip or transport-grade products.

Poland Plywood Import Requirements: HS 4412, CE, EN Standards and FSC

Most plywood shipments stuck at the Polish border are held up by paperwork rather than quality issues. Line up the right tariff code, due diligence file, and CE paperwork beforehand, and your cargo clears without surprises.

HS 4412 Classification and Duty

Plywood, veneered panels, and similar laminated wood belong under HS heading 4412. Several details determine your full CN/TARIC code:

Wood species (tropical, non-coniferous, or coniferous)

Number and thickness of plies

Surface treatment, coating, or overlay

Bamboo plywood versus other wood plywood

Intended use and dimensions

An incorrect code alters your customs duty, triggers unexpected anti-dumping rules, and changes your required paperwork. Plywood import tariffs in the EU run from 0% to roughly 10%, depending on the exact code. Look up your full 10-digit code and country of origin directly in the EU TARIC system.

Core documents:
– EU customs import declaration
– Commercial invoice and packing list
– Transport document
– Product description and technical specification
– Country-of-origin evidence
– Customs value and tariff classification
– EORI number for the EU importer
– CITES import authorization for controlled species

EUDR: The Rule Many Exporters Miss

Plywood under HS 4412 falls under Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR). Before placing goods on the EU market, the importer must submit a Due Diligence Statement through the EU Information System. The wood cannot come from land deforested or degraded after 31 December 2020.

The due diligence file needs:
– Scientific and common name of each species
– Country of production
– Geolocation of each forest plot
– Production date or range
– Quantity, plus supplier and buyer details
– Evidence of legal harvest
– Risk assessment and mitigation records

CE Marking and EN Standards

CE marking is required when plywood is sold as a construction product under EN 13986:2004+A1:2015. This standard sets rules for mechanical performance, formaldehyde emission, reaction to fire, moisture resistance, thermal conductivity, dangerous substances, and factory production control.

Ask construction-grade suppliers for:
– Declaration of Performance (DoP) and CE label
– Technical data sheet
– Factory production-control evidence
– Test or classification reports
– Notified body identification, where required

Plywood intended for packaging, furniture, or interior trim rarely requires CE marking. Intended use decides it, not the product name.

Verify these against the buyer’s application:
– EN 314-2 bonding: Class 1 dry, Class 2 humid, Class 3 exterior
– EN 636 service class: 636-1 dry, 636-2 humid, 636-3 exterior
– Formaldehyde class, usually E1
– Reaction-to-fire class
– Thickness, density, tolerances and bending strength
– Slip resistance for flooring or decking

FSC: Useful, But Not a Substitute

FSC does not replace EUDR due diligence. The importer still owns the declaration. FSC Poland also requires covered products to come from land not deforested after 31 December 2020. Ask suppliers for:

A valid FSC 100%, Mix or Recycled claim

Certificate number and scope

A Chain-of-Custody certificate covering plywood manufacture and sale

The FSC claim on invoices and shipping documents

Species and origin traceability that matches your EUDR data

Pre-Shipment Checklist

Poland Plywood RFQ, Landed-Cost and Negotiation Framework

A cheap FOB number tells you almost nothing until you factor in freight, duty, VAT, and defect rates. Use the framework below to compare offers on an equal footing.

Add These Fields to Your RFQ

The earlier checklist covers species, grade and Incoterms. Add these specifications to close the gaps that trigger disputes:

Tolerance: for example, 12 mm ±0.3 mm

Construction: number of plies, veneer thickness, core species, face/back grade (BB/CP, CP/CP)

Adhesive: MR, WBP/phenolic, E1 class

Film spec: weight and color, if film-faced

Moisture content: target percentage at shipment

Packing: bundle quantity, dimensions, gross weight, moisture protection

Destination: exact Polish postcode and unloading requirements

Lead time: production days, sailing schedule, port dwell time

Validity: quote validity, raw-material surcharge, currency, payment terms

Documents: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, FSC, CE/DoP, test reports, fumigation certificate

A typical Polish wholesale minimum is about one bundle (1–2 m³).

Calculate Landed Cost per m³

Landed cost = EXW/FOB price + origin charges + freight + insurance + duty + brokerage + port charges + inland delivery + inspection and documents

Break out VAT separately. The import VAT base equals your customs value plus duty and incidental import costs. Poland charges 23% import VAT, which VAT-registered importers can usually recover. Compare offers on both cash landed cost including VAT and net landed cost.

Duty: Don’t Guess

The EU third-country range is 0%–15.8%.

Common softwood and temperate hardwood plywood sits around 7–10%.

One coniferous line carries 10% duty plus 23% VAT.

Make suppliers state the 10-digit CN code before quoting.

A certificate of origin does not automatically cut duty. Check preferential eligibility.

Freight: Convert It Properly

Exporter, Importer and Distributor Actions for the Poland Plywood Market

Poland rewards suppliers who show up with the right spec, clean paperwork and reliable lead times. Price alone rarely wins the deal.

The competition is stiff. Polish mills exported about US$310 million of plywood in 2023 and know how to sell their wood. Here is how to position yourself, role by role.

Exporters: Sell Specs, Not “Plywood”

Lead with birch. Thin-ply and furniture-grade birch panels see the deepest import demand. Pair them with coniferous construction plywood, which is the fastest-growing segment in the market.

Quote standard formats. Offer 2440 × 1220 mm in 9, 12, 15, 18 and 21 mm. The 18 mm sheet remains the most traded construction spec.

Split every offer by face grade, core composition, glue type, sanding, overlay and tolerances. Include WBP and exterior grades for structural, transport and formwork buyers.

Send a full compliance pack. Provide CE documentation under EU CPR 305/2011 for structural panels, FSC/PEFC chain-of-custody papers, and technical data sheets. Add phytosanitary certificates, origin declarations, fumigation records, pallet specs and complete EUDR data covering tree species, harvest plots, legality and geolocation.

Compete on reliability. Dependable lead times, custom cutting, film coating and steady inventory earn repeat business. See how one wood-based panel factory in China supports export buyers.

Look at Paged Plywood, whose Pisz and Morąg plants carry SURE-EU certification. Biaform offers another strong benchmark for catalog depth and domestic distribution.

Importers: Diversify and Verify

Dual-source birch. In 2024, China (27.2%), Ukraine (23.4%), Latvia (13.4%), Kazakhstan (10.4%) and Finland (10.3%) led import supply, with China and Ukraine together holding 50.6%.

Qualify Ukrainian suppliers carefully. They delivered roughly 47.49 kt in 2025. Verify border transit times, cargo insurance and customs documents, and maintain active backups across the Baltics, Finland, China and Central Europe.

Use codes precisely: 441233 and 441239. Measure landed quotes against roughly US$1,275/tonne, adjusting for face grade, origin, freight costs and certifications.

Inspect before you pay. Order production samples and book third-party lab checks for thickness tolerance, bond strength, core voids, moisture levels, face defects, warping and formaldehyde emissions.

Index your pricing. Negotiate quarterly reviews or indexed terms instead of locking into fixed annual agreements.

Distributors: Stock Smart

Segment inventory: split your stock across furniture and cabinetry, structural building, transport flooring, concrete formwork, and specialty marine or vehicle grades. For the furniture segment, a furniture grade plywood supplier with flexible MOQ makes restocking easier.

Keep 18 mm in stock. Run advance orders or container consolidation for slower thicknesses and specialized overlays.

Target the right buyers: sell directly to furniture makers, modular-home builders, building merchants, packaging outfits, trailer manufacturers and DIY retail chains.

Push certified products to architects, public contractors and volume manufacturers. The right certification often decides whether your bid qualifies for formal tenders.

Sell in steps. Publish clear Polish-language data sheets. Start buyers with samples, step them up to full or mixed pallets, and reserve full-container pricing for your largest accounts.

Poland Plywood Market Data Sources and Update Controls

Every figure in this guide traces back to a source you can verify yourself. Here is the stack, along with the steps to keep it current.

Core Sources

Eurostat COMEXT: Polish trade data by CN8 code, partner country, quantity and EUR value, updated each month.

Statistics Poland (GUS): the annual yearbook and quarterly reports. Filter directly to HS 4412; total 2025 exports of PLN 1,563.6 billion tell you nothing about plywood.

UNECE/FAO: volumes recorded in m³. For 2021, imports were 604,005 m³, exports were 373,976 m³, and apparent consumption was 772,884 m³ (production + imports − exports).

PKD 16.21.Z and KRS filings: check records for Paged Plywood, Sklejka-Eko, Biaform and POLBLAT before listing them as active suppliers.

Update Controls

Refresh cycle: pull COMEXT data each month, review GUS reports quarterly, and run CN-code checks once a year. Update supplier rosters whenever plants close, merge, or customs rules change.

Log everything: record the extraction date, CN list, units, currency and revision status for every pull.

Cross-check: compare Poland’s figures against partner-country export files, and flag any year-on-year shift over 15%.

Keep scope clean: never mix plywood numbers with totals for OSB, particleboard or fibreboard.

Conclusion

Poland rewards buyers and sellers who treat plywood as a landed-cost game.

Three things matter most. First, price moves by grade. Birch, poplar-core, film-faced, and structural boards each follow their own cost drivers. Second, trade flows decide your bargaining power, so know who supplies Poland and where Polish mills ship. Third, compliance protects your margin. HS 4412 classification, CE marking, EN standards, FSC chain-of-custody, and anti-dumping exposure can erase a “good deal” at customs.

Pull your last three quotes and rebuild them as landed costs. Check them against current birch plywood price Poland benchmarks, then stress-test your next order against a realistic plywood price forecast before you commit volume.

Do that, and you’ll negotiate with data while everyone else relies on gut feeling.
